http://www.cimap.res.in/ - CIMAP - Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is a constituent research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) New Delhi. CIMAP is a multidisciplinary research institution with departments ranging from Genetic Resources and Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Cytogenetics, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Tissue Culture, Agronomy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Plant Protection Group, Process Development, Product Development, Chemical Engineering, Technology Transfer and Business Development, Research Planning and Monitoring, Publications etc. This is a lab run by the Govt. of India. Dr Mashelkar is running the labs like a company and has reduced bureaucracy for CSIR labs.
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) - CSIR was established in 1942, it is India's largest research and development organisation.  It has 40 laboratories spread over the length and breadth of the country. More than 22,000 persons work in various laboratories and institutions of CSIR, with an annual turnover in excess of Rs. 400 crores.

Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) - Conducts research in Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, Regulatory Toxicity & Clinical trials, Biological Activity Screening, Fermentation, Reagents.
